Terracotta Tumbler

The Terracotta Tumblers are unique hand thrown terracotta tumblers that are ideal for wine or water. Made in a traditional way on a pottery wheel by Portuguese craftsmen, the tall tumblers are then hand painted with glaze on the inside of the tumbler and the top third of the outside of the tumbler. The glaze is painted roughly and drips are left to run resulting in a beautifully rustic terracotta tumbler that gives a laid back vibe to your table or kitchen. 

Designed by Casa Cubista, a company passionate about contemporary design, craftsmanship and Portuguese heritage. The ceramics range is all made in the coastal town of Olhao in Portugal by a family that been in the pottery business for 200 years. Ruis throws the pottery on his wheel before it is hand painted by his aunt Regina. 

Before first use, wash the tumblers with hot soapy water, rinse well and allow to air dry. To maintain the integrity of the tumblers (i.e. glaze and colour) it is not recommended that the tumbler is used in a dishwasher or microwave. As each piece is handmade there may be slight changes in each piece and slight colour variations, which is indicative of the material and the handmade process. Some marks in the glaze are natural and expected, as is some crazing. This will not affect the use or durability of the pieces.
